Strong and natural-looking protection for damaged teeth
Crowns are a very effective and aesthetic solution for restoring the appearance and function of damaged teeth. They are designed to fit completely over a whole tooth, providing strong protection and concealing defects caused by chipping, decay, discolouration or large fillings. Crowns can be made from a variety of materials, with the look and feel of natural teeth so they blend into your smile.

Why have a dental crown?
Crowns are commonly used to repair damage that has affected the structure and functionality of a tooth. As they replace the whole outside structure of the tooth, they are a full rebuild for teeth that need an overall restoration. If teeth have become weakened by multiple fillings, extensive decay or general damage, a crown is the ideal solution.
A crown can also be used after root canal treatment to give a durable, reliable and completely natural-looking finish. They can also be used to support a dental bridge or fixed to a dental implant for an aesthetic and durable restoration.
Get in touchWhat does the treatment involve?
- We first ensure that the internal structure of the tooth is intact and that there are no signs of infection present. We prepare your tooth by removing a layer of tooth structure, making sure we leave a strong core.
- We take digital scans of your teeth and record their colour so your crown can be made to fit perfectly. Between appointments, we protect the prepared tooth with a temporary crown.
- When your crown is ready, the temporary crown is removed and the new permanent one is fixed in place with a strong dental cement.
